Privacy Policy
We collect what a salon needs to run your appointment, and nothing beyond it.

The short version
We ask for a name and a mobile number so we can hold your slot and call you if something changes. We do not sell your details, we do not share them with advertisers, and there is no tracking pixel on this site.
Who we are

What we collect
When you book. Your name, mobile number, an email address if you give one, the date and time you picked, and the services or package you chose. You may add a note; whatever you write there is stored with the booking.
When you write to us. Your name, mobile number, email if given, and your message.
When you apply for a job. Your name, mobile number, email, stated experience, your message, and a résumé if you attach one.
Automatically. Our server keeps ordinary web logs — the requesting IP address, the page asked for and the time. A submission also records the IP it came from, which is how we spot a bot filling the same form a hundred times.
Why we hold it
To confirm and run your appointment, to reach you if a stylist is unwell or the slot has to move, to answer what you asked us, to consider your application, and to keep the books and the GST records the law requires of us.
We will send you an appointment confirmation and reminders about a booking you made. We will not add you to a marketing list because you booked a haircut. If we ever run an offers list it will be one you asked to join, with a way out in every message.
Who else sees it
Our staff, to do the job. Our hosting provider, because the data sits on their servers. Our accountant and the tax authorities, for billing records. WhatsApp or your phone network, if you choose to reach us that way — that conversation is on their platform under their terms, not ours.
Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or trade guest details, and we do not hand them to marketing agencies.
Cookies
One cookie, named serenluxe. It holds a session identifier so a form you are part-way through does not lose itself and so the security token on our forms works. It expires when you close the browser. There are no advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
Pages that embed a Google map load that map from Google, which sets its own cookies under its own policy. If that matters to you, our address is printed as text on the contact page as well.
How long we keep it
Appointment and billing records for as long as the tax rules require, currently eight years. Enquiries for two years. Job applications for one year, unless you ask us sooner. Web logs for a few months, then they rotate away.
Keeping it safe
The site runs over HTTPS. Passwords for our own staff panel are stored hashed, never in plain text, and repeated failed logins are throttled. Access to guest records is limited to the people who need it to work a shift. No system is perfect, and we would rather say that than claim otherwise.
Your choices
Ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you. Ask us to correct it and we will. Ask us to delete it and we will, except for records we are legally required to keep, such as a GST invoice. Call the salon or email info@serenluxesalon.com — we answer these ourselves, usually within a few working days.
Children
We happily cut children's hair, but the booking should be made by a parent or guardian. This site is not intended for use by children on their own.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be flagged on the site rather than slipped in quietly.
